Smoke Stark. Taste salty.
OysterI just came back from dinner. I ate seafood ! Didn't know there is a seafood restaurant in Madison! :) Anyway, I am not the person who is fanatic about seafood. But guess what, I had all the good food!
That's not the point. I have something else to talk about. But you don't have to take me seriously. During the dinner, I met a Singaporean girl who was super proud of Singlish. From the 3 hours conversation, I think she has successfully promoted her way of speaking Singlish. Haha. I really admired her way of talking, but one question is 'Is Singlish something to be proud of?'
At least it's not that I agree of. But in other way, it's good to be proud of your own identity when you can publicly and confidently speak 'Walao', 'Gao Wek', 'La/ler/meh' in front of foreigner. LOL. The issue of internationalizing Singlish even cross their mind. That's probably really patriotic? Is it because they learn to speak Singlish since they are born, and so they feel very good about all the weird accent?
What do you think?
P/s : what about Manglish (Malaysian English) ? How does it sound like??
